1. Look back and re-evaluate what worked and didn’t work for you.

2. Get organized – Clean off your desk, clear out your email inbox. Physical clutter will create mental clutter!

3. Block out distractions – Are you spending about 3 hours or more on social media each day? If so, imagine what you could accomplish with all that extra time.

4. Prioritize – Focus on what’s important now! Everything in your life doesn’t carry the same weight. What can you do today that will remove some stress or release some tension from your life? Unmet goals and unmet expectations tend to lead to frustration. Being frustrated tends to slow you down and keep you from achieving your goals. So decide today — what one thing can you do today to make your weekdays smoother? In order to effectively prioritize your day, you must learn to recognize the difference between the important, the urgent and the unnecessary. It may seem that everything is urgent, but in reality, that is not the case – take the time to reevaluate what is actually worth your energy.

5. Set a new SPECIFIC goal – When I say specific, I mean identify a timeline on when you want to reach this goal by. One month? Two months? Six months? Then decide how many policies do you need to write between that time, how many claims do you need to settle to reach your company goals? The goals you set earlier this year need to be revamped. Review your sales goals first thing in the morning every day. Say your big picture goal out loud, then create your plan for the week and review goals and actions for the day.

6. Take care of yourself – You’re going to need a lot of mental and physical energy to juggle your priorities, manage visitors, and have the discipline to control your use of technology. So, it’s important that you take care of yourself.

7. Get enough sleep at night and stay hydrated throughout the day. Be sure to get some fresh air and take a brisk walk or exercise each day too – it will work wonders on your brain and energy levels!
